Classic Roses for you

Hello again,

Well we are almost through March and I hope you are well
and staying safe in these uncertain times.

Today I would like to share with you a card that I have made for Bizzy Becs featuring the
Heartfelt Creations stamp and Die sets.

This stamp and die have been designed to team up to allow you tom create beautiful 3D roses.

I have had this set sitting on my desk waiting for me to try out and make some roses for a mini memory book that I have been working on.

The roses are  a bit of work but once you get into a groove they don't take too long to make.
I would suggest that you stamp out, die cut and sponge everything before you start assembling and shaping the petals.

To use  Heartfelt creations stamp set you simply stamp out the petals of he flowers onto white card.
You then cut them out using the matching die.

At this point I sponged colour onto the petals using distress Oxide inks. The colours I used were Abandoned Coral and Evergreen Bough

After curling and shaping the rose petals I have layered the petal sizes and glued the roses together.

I have then added some bling to the petals with some Diamond Dust glass shards.

Paper Rose's Magnolia Bloom Die

Hi Again

We are experiencing difficult times worldwide and I hope you are all staying safe.
I have a card to share today for Paper Rose Studio.

This is the beautiful Magnolia Bloom Die,
I am a huge fan of flower stamps and dies and I wanted to create a very simple card that is soft but with a featured background.

To create my coloured background I have used washiest tape to mask out lines,
I have then used my blending brush to blend Distress oxides graduating the colours from lavender through grey and into green.

Once blended I have removed the washi tape to expose three crisp white lines from the card base colour.

I have used Copic markers to colour in my magnolia flowers
and then paper pieced the pieces back into the outline shape which I have cut twice and stacked together for added dimension.

It is a really simple card with the background the "star".

I hope you will try some of these techniques yourself and make some time to create.
I find creating a great way to tune out some of the chaos out there these days.

Supplies Used:

18165 Magnolia Bloom Die
17472 Thanks Layered Word Die
18454 Paper Rose Blending brush

Distress oxide Inks:

Bundled Sage
Cracked Pistachio

Fabulous Friend card with watercolour flowers

Hi There

I have another card to share with you for Paper Rose Studio.

For my card I have used Altenew watercolour Brush pens to colour my image.

I wanted bright colours but I didn't want a dark outline so I stamped out the Beautiful Day
stamp set in Versamark ink and heat embossed in white to resist the watercolour ink leaving me with a sharp and crisp white outline.

Supplies Used:

Paper Rose:
17880 Beautiful Day Stamp set
17580 Banner 1 large metal cutting Die set
18249 Fabulous Layered Word Die
18355 Friend Layered Word Die

Other:
Altenew Watercolour brush markers
Ranger Watercolour Card
Versamark
Wow white embossing powder

I think this weekend is a great time to stay home and create, especially with all the Carona Virus worries around the world.
Stay safe wherever you are and be careful!

Until next time

Silhouette Wildflowers for Paper Rose Studio

Hi There

Today I have a simple card I would like to share with you for Paper Rose Studio

I have created this card using only the Wildflowers 4 x 6 stamp set.

The background has been sponged with Distress oxide inks in Wild Honey and Seedless Preserves
using a blending brush.
I have simply stamped the silhouetted wildflowers onto my inked background

The sentiments are also from the Wildflowers stamp set
and are heat embossed in white on strips of
black card

The stripes are cut out of black card and arranged on the Background. The larger strip with the sentiments on it 'grounds' the flowers nicely.

Supplies Used:

Distress Oxide inks
White embossing powder
Versamark ink
Black ink pad

Thanks for stopping by to have a look

Until next Time
