Memory book using Tonic Dies

Hi Again!

Today I thought I would share something a little different with you.

I have started a memory book using one of the Tonic Studios Memory Book Maker sets.
I have made this project for Bizzy Becs.

I have used the Memory Book Maker Base Creator and the Keepsake Book Maker Simple Spines dies sets to create the book base. I have used 250gsm Ivory card to cut out my pages and covers.

Tonic studios have many different bookmaker die sets and their youtube channel has plenty of videos showing you how to assemble them.

I have cut craft card and scrapbooking paper to layer onto my cover as my base and decorated with paper flowers and a die cut frame. The frame is also cut out of Ivory card, I have coloured it with Prima antiquing waxes and a little white gesso.

Under the flowers I have layered some Silk fibres and a few filigree swirls from the sizzix adornments set. These are cut out of craft card and coloured with gold antiquing wax.

The flowers are assembled and then spritzed with Distress Oxide sprays.
The three large flowers are handmade using a die set from Marianne Designs  and the little white roses are store bought which I have sponged with blue ink .

Supplies Used:

Marianne Designs - LR0546 Beautiful Flower
Sizzix Thinlets - Adorned
Memory Box - Victorian Frame  ( an older set from my stash)

Don't forget to pop into the shop where you can preorder these products and many more.

I hope you like this project, please let me know if you would like me to share with you some of the
pages that I make. If you are interested I will share them with you.

Until Next Time

Embossed Ginko Flowers

Hello

Today I would like to share with you my third project this month for

I am just besotted with the new Ginko flower dies that were recently released by Paper Rose
and I have created another card using the Ginko Leaves Die.

Earlier this month I used botanical leaves to Gelli Plate backgrounds for a card, to create this card I have used another one of these background prints that I made.

To create the background I have printed several layers on my Gelli plate using blue, white and gold acrylic paint
. Some of these layers are primary prints and secondary prints.

The soft colours on the leaves are layers of the new Distress Glaze embossing powders created by Ranger. These embossing powders create a translucent glaze effect, they are very sheer and glossy.

Thin layers are lighter in colour and very transparent. to create some depth in colour I embossed my leaves twice and you can still see the line detail in the die cut.

Supplies used:

Paper Rose:

Distress Glazes:
Antique Linen
Weathered Wood

Prima Art Alchemy Waxes:
Old Silver

Thank you for stopping by to have a look, if you go back to an earlier post this month I have photographed some of the backgrounds that I made using leaves from the garden to Gelli plate print.

the post was here for my Bloom Wildly card.

Until next time

Male birthday card featuring stars

Hi Everyone

Today I would like to share with you a very simple card that I made for my Husband's birthday.
I don't know about you but I find male cards so much harder to create.

This card is for Paper Rose Studio and I think I might of used all the stars in the range!
Well almost anyway.

My background is layered card in navy and white and all my die cuts are metallic gold card and navy card.

The small stars are from the pieces that I popped out of the Star Texture Die,
I left some of the larger stars in place and used the smaller ones that I took out to scatter around along  with the larger stars from the Small Stars Die set.

For my main word the "Star" I have simply cut off the "s" as the word die is stars.
I have done this for the background shadow layer too.

Supplies Used:

18162 Star word Layered Die
16673 Small Stars Die
18159 Star Texture Metal Die
18231 Star Words 4 x 4 Stamp set
16576 Stitched Rectangles A6 Die Set

Thanks for stopping by to have a look
Until next time

Lawn Fawn's Critters Ever After card

Hello Everyone

I am so sorry I am late posting my Latest card for Bizzy Bec's
I have had internet issues at home.
I think we are all spending more time at home!
I hope you're staying safe, staying home and finding some time to create.

My card today features the gorgeous Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After stamp set.
I think this set is so adorable and versatile.

To create this card I have stamped out my images in Memento Tuxedo black in and coloured them in with Copic markers.

For the background I have blended distress oxide inks together using Tumbled Glass and Broken China for the sky. I also used Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint for the hills.

I have used a Stitched Hillside Border die set also from Lawn Fawn to cut out the hill shapes.

Supplies Used:

Distress Oxide Inks:
Tumbled Glass
Broken China
Shabby Shutters
Peeled Paint

Bloom Wildly card with Ginko leaves

Hello again

I have a new project for Paper Rose Studio to share with you.

To create this card I have used a background that has been printed with a Gelli plate using leaves.

A big thank you goes out to Kelsey for sharing this technique with us in our Tuesday ATC class .
I love how the leaves printed the Gelli Plate and thought that the papers made would make a fantastic and unique card base.

To create my background papers I have printed multiple layers on my gel plate in neutral colours
layering and masking using leaves from the garden.
The pages below are some of the papers that I made in a session using some off white, black and gold acrylic paint.

The rest of my card was pretty simple, I cut out the Ginko leaves die in black card and use metallic waxes to patina them using a stiff bristle paintbrush to apply the wax and push it around. I also cut out the layering die in vellum to soften the background allowing the leaves on top to stand out.

My sentiments, from the wildflowers stamp set, are simply stamped and heat embossed in white Nuvo embossing powder

Supplies used:
Paper Rose Studio:
18730 Ginko Leafe Large Layered Die
16576 Stitched Rectangles A6
18500 Wildflowers 4 x 6 stamp set

Prima Art Alchemy Waxes:

Brushed Iron

Thank You for stopping by to have a look at my latest card, I hope that you and your loved ones are doing well and staying safe in the strange times.
