Sketchy Roses in gold

Hi there

I am sharing my third card for the month of  June for Paper Rose Studio .
I have used copic markers and gold embossing to create a card that I feel is almost fabric like.

I was so inspired by Yana Smakula's Youtube Video that I just had to create a card using those beautiful yellows combined with gold embossing.

I love how gorgeous the rich yellows look against the dark background, combined with the added contrast of the gold embossing. I am really pleased with the end result and I adore that little glitz that the gold embossing powder gives.

I love how the flowers pop on the dark background it gives them a more dimensional look.

First off, I cut out some masks of the two main roses from the Paper Rose sketchy roses stamp set.
I use Gina K Masking Magic, it's really thin and stamping over the masking magic doesn't leave this elittle spots that have missed around the mask edge.

You will need a Misti or stamping platform to be able to stamp again over the top of the coloured roses
so you can add gold embossing after colouring.

Using my Misti I have stamped out the two roses in black ink
and then coloured in with my copic markers.
Without moving the stamps I have then placed my coloured roses back into my Misti and stamped over the top with versafine ink.

Then I have embossed with gold embossing powder. I used Ranger Princess Gold.

After embossing I have repositioned my card back into my Misti and worked out where to place my next two roses.
Masking the now embossed original flowers I have stamped the two roses again in black ink and repeated
the steps once again.
Colouring with copic markers and re-stamping in versafine ink to gold emboss. I have repeatedly stamped and coloured until I have filled in all the larger open spaces with roses.

After colouring and embossing all the roses I have then used a C9 copic marker to colour in a dark background.

Daisy Border stained glass card

Hi there

I have created another stained glass window card using the
gorgeous Daisy Border Die from Paper Rose Studio.

I love making stained glass cards.
The colours seem crisper after the glossy accents has dried.
I love the 3D texture of these cards too.

I have coloured with Copic markers before stacking up layers of my die cut,
there are five layers of the Daisy Border die to create the depth around the petals needed  to fill with glossy accents for the stained glass effect.
I have used the same colours of Copic Markers to colour the shadow die cut behind the Sunshine word die.

Supplies Used:

18518 Daisy Border Die
17463 Sunshine Layered Word Die
18144 Sunshine Words 4 x 4 Stamp Set

Copic Markers:
Background: BG11
Daisies: Y02, Y11, Y17, Y15

Thanks for stopping by for a look

Until next time.

Watercolour Effect Using Tombow Pens And Garden Gems Stamp

Hi

Today I am sharing a card for Bizzy Becs and inspiration for our monthly challenge.
More information on the blog.

I have used Tombow Brush markers to colour in my Penny Black Photo stamp, This one is called Garden Gems but you can use this technique with any "photo" real stamp.
In other words the stamp needs to be a solid stamp and not just a thin line outline.

I have used the Tombow Brush markers to colour directly on the stamp starting with my lighter colour first and gradually moving on to my darkest colour.
Once fully coloured in I have very lightly misted the stamp with water and
stamped it onto smooth watercolour paper.

Once dry I have die cut a section of the stamp using a stitched Oval Die from my collection and
stamped my sentiment out in memento ink in Black.

You can use any black inkpad that you have. I just had my Memento handy.

I have then layered this onto a lacy die-cut background.

Lovely Blossoms for Paper Rose Studio

Hi There and welcome June.

I hope you are well and getting in some crafty time.

My card today is for paper rose studio, using the Lovely Blossoms stamp set.

I wanted to use the new Damask stencil as a wallpaper style background
for my card, and I love how the white background with black
detailing in texture paste turned out.

I have stamped out my blossoms in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them in
with copic markers.

I have added a strip of vellum down the middle of the card to blur it a little so that my
flowers really pop off the busy background.
