Just A Note

Hi There,

I can't believe that May is almost over,
I hope you are well and safe wherever you are.

Today I am sharing my third card for May for Paper Rose Studio.

Last year i made a set of cards using a technique called" stained glass window effect".
you can see these cards here

I have made another card using that technique to add depth to just the flowers on the card.
My last set of cards using this technique were entirely covered in glossy accents!

To create this card I have die cut my Blossom Outline die and it's base layer as well.

After gluing these two layers together I have coloured in and shaded the petals of the flowers
 and  leaves with Copic Markers.
You don't need to worry about any colour getting on the framed edges
as we will add another three layers of the outline die on top of our base.

After all the layers are glued together and dry,
carefully fill each little section of the flowers and leaves with glossy accents and leave to dry completely.
I have then added a final layer of the Blossom Outline die
to neaten up the edges, this really helps to create a really clean look
if any of the glossy accents went outside the lines.

The background of the card is simply layered up on grey and Neenah card.
I have cut out my sentiment in a soft silver metallic card.

I have glued silver micro beads on the flower centres with glossy accents

18168 Blossom Outline Die

Blossom greeting card in soft pink for Paper Rose

Hi Again,

I am super excited to be on the Paper Rose Design team for another year.
I am really looking forward to 2020 an I have so many ides and projects to share with you throughout the year.

For my card today I have used the gorgeous Blossom Outline die.

let's start with the background, I have used Nuvo Expanding Mousse in Grey Matter.
You can heat this mousse up to distress and puff it up but I haven't really worried about doing that as I really just wanted the pewter, slightly metallic finish it has.

I have simply applied the mousse through a stencil, Moroccan Lattice  6 x 6 stencil, with a spatula and set aside to dry.

The flowers are cut out and glued onto card, I have then used Copic Markers to colour them.
After colouring I have then glued a second flower thin line die cut onto the first one giving it a white edge.

I have then fussy cut the flowers right to the edge of the raised line using scissors so that there is no white edge left behind.

I have then added a little sparkle with a Nuvo clear sparkle pen to give the flowers some impact.

I have then added a few grey sequins to the flower centres and my stamped and die cut sentiment.

Supplies Used:
18168 Blossom Outline
18138 moroccan Lattice 6 x  stencil
18255 Friend Layered Word die
17496 Poppies Stamp Set ( sentiment only)

Thanks for stopping by,

Until next time
