Fathers Day card using Whimsy Stamps Sailboat

Hi there!

August is almost gone and another month slips away of what feels like a super fast year.

For my turn on the blog at Bizzy Becs  I am sharing a card I am giving to my dad for Fathers Day.

I have sponged Distress Oxides on a piece of plain cardstock for my background. The colours used are Broken China, Stormy Sky, Spun Sugar and Carved Pumpkin.

The image is stamped in Mimento Tuxedo Black and coloured in with Copic Markers. I have then fussy cut out the sailboat, the sun and water, then layering the cut out piece on my sponged background. this id so much easier than trying to sponge around everything.

I love the Whimsy Sailboat stamp for a general purpose masculine card.

Supplies used:

Memory box Curling cloud Die is from my own collection.

Sending you love Sentiment wreath card

Hi there

Another month has passed us by and now its August already!

This month for my contribution to the Bizzy Becs blog design team inspiration I have created a sentiment wreath card.

I have sponged my background with distress oxides in Tattered Rose, Shaded Lilac, Squeezed Lemonade and Bundled Sage.

I have then spritzed with water and dried it off. This leave lovely droplets in the colours and helps to unify them.

I have then die cut the coloured piece and stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Twilight Ink.

The spellbinders wreath has been partially coloured in with Copic markers.

Supplies Used:
Penny Black: Happy thoughts
Spellbinders Shapeabilities: Wreath

Why don't you join us in our anything goes challenge!

Until next time
