Paper Rose Thanks a Bunch

Hi There

Todays cards I have created for you are for Paper Rose Studio. I really enjoyed the challenge of colouring in this gorgeous Stamp using Prismacolor pencils.

The Stamp Set I have used here is called Thanks A Bunch and is one of the new release sets.

For this card I have stamped the image in a light base ink colour to create a  no line effect and I have coloured the image in Prismacolor pencils. The "awesome " sentiment has been heat embossed and shadowed using the matching die in black.

For this card I have coloured in again with pencils and then used the matching Thanks A Bunch die to cut out the flower bouquet.
For depth and contrast I have used a geometric embossing folder to create the background.

For this card I have stamped the image in black ink onto a smoother card base.
I have then selected two areas to spotlight and colour with pencils.
I will say it did save me hours of colouring but still looks really effective when put back into place. The sentiments are once again heat embossed onto black card.

I love how the background on this card looks like it has been coloured in but its just shadows created by the embossing folder.

Unicorn Friend from Picket fence Studios

Hi There

I'm back again with another card for you.
This project is for Bizzy Bec's and features a sweet stamp from Picket Fence Studios called Unicorn Friend.

I have used a tonic Easel card Die to create a starting point for the base of my card.

However I have layered several pieces of card that are Gelli plate printed.
To create the backgrounds I have used a technique that Debra James taught us
which is to use stamps and alcohol markers to draw directly onto your Gelli plate to create patterns, which are then  transferred to card by adding a layer of thin white paint to the Gelli plate  transfer the design created.

close up detail showing the printed card.
To create the frame I have taped together two Stitched Square Dies, and kept the middle insert, or frame that this creates.

the front panel of the easel card has been painted in pastel colours with acrylic paint.

Supplies Used:

Picket Fence Studios:  Unicorn Friend Stamp
Picket Fence Studios:  Unicorn Friend Die
Avery Elle:  Wonky Stitches Die
Avery Elle:   Star Frame Die

Paper Roses Lovely Florals Blossoms Card set

Hi

I'm back again with a set of cards for Paper Rose Studio featuring the new Lovely Florals Blossoms Stamp set.

I decided to go for a vintage almost Wedgwood china look for this set of cards.

These cards all have bold blossoms coloured in Copic markers and backgrounds coloured with Distress Oxide inks.

To create these cards I have stamped out two sets of all the blossoms to get enough flowers to make the three cards. After colouring in I have die cut them out and arranged them in different ways.

To get dark shadows and depth into the flower petals and leaves I have used a medium blue, B23, Copic marker to shadow or under colour the darker areas. Once the top colours are applied this blue tone blends in to add a lot more depth than I could achieve with a standard blend.

The backgrounds are distress oxide Inks tha  are spritzed with water on a craft sheet and then I have randomly tapped the paper into the colours to create a 'splotchy' and watercolored looking background.

Supplies Used:
18183 Lovely Florals Blossoms 4 x 6 stamp set
18184 Lovely Florals Blossoms Die Set
16969 Quatrefoil Layer 1 Die
16551 Stitched Ovals
17628 Stitched Hexagons
17472 Thanks Layered
16416 Hello Friend stamp
