I have die cut out the hills using a Lawn Fawn die and sponged them
in Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide
ink.

I have then stamped out my main word, hugs , directly onto the card and cut out the
stamped co-ordinating sentiments.

Sketchy Floral Hello Friend Card

Hi Again

Today I am sharing my third project for September and Paper Rose Studio.

All of my cards this month are coloured with pencils and this one is on a grungy background.

I decided to fussy cut out the coloured image and layer it onto a inky background, well I sure wasn't going to cut out that wispy the sprig of leaves at the top of this gorgeous little posy!

so instead I stamped the sketchy floral stamp onto my background after inking. once I had coloured the flowers in I then only fussy cut out the bigger ones and layered that onto my stamped background and voila! I still have all those gorgeous leaves in my posy.

The background is completed  by using Distress ink spray on speckled egg.

U have also added some black and white ink splatter to the background.

Supplies used:

It's Stamptember SSS collaboration with Paper Rose Studio

Hello crafty Friends

Today I am really honoured to be asked to share in on the Stamptember Party at

Simon Says Stamp.

Simon Says Stamp and Paper Rose have gotten together to create a limited edition stamp and Die Set.

Customers can purchase the Long Stem Flowers Stamp set or the Long Stem Flowers Stamp and Die set for a limited time, while supplies last.  You will need to be quick to get this set as numbers are limited

Those of you that know my style will know that I am a colouring addict for both Copic Markers and Coloured Pencils. When I received my gorgeous Stamp set I found it really hard to decide which medium to use to colour in these gorgeous flowers. I decided to try prismacolor pencils and solvents as I had a bottle of Zest it that I hadn't used yet!

The flowers have been coloured in light layers of coloured pencils building up the pigment and layering the shads of pink and violet on top of each other. Once enough pigment is down on the paper I have used a  brush and some Zest-It pencil blend to blend all the colours together and smooth out the grainy pencil pigment.

After letting the solvent dry completely I have then added more pencil to sharpen up some of the colours and add extra depth of colour where needed.

To create the card I have used the Paper Rose Studio Quatrefoil Layer 1 and 2 Dies for my background.I have coloured my base layer in Distress ink in speckled egg.

I hope you like my card and thanks to Simon Says Stamp for asking us to join in on the

Stamptember Party!

Until Next Time

Sketchy Floral Happy Birthday

Hi

I am back today to share a card for Paper Rose Studio.

I have made another no line colouring card

using the Sketchy Floral Thanks stamp set.

I am a bit of a pencil Junkie and I have a lot of pencil sets.
For this card I have coloured with Polychromos Pencils.

I love the vibrancy and bright colours of these gorgeous pencils,
I also love that they are wonderful to
layer up without any waxy residue.

I have stamped by image in a very light colour, I used Gina K's Amalgam Ink in sketchy leaves
and i have used Mi-Tientes pastel paper.
I also like to use Arches Watercolour paper in a hot press smooth finish.

To Finish off my card I have matted up all my layers on some of the new

Paper Rose patterned papers in co-ordinating colours. I used sentiments from the Black and White

Sentiment pack.

Hello Autumn leaf card in Prismacolor pencils

Hi There

Im back again with my first project for September.

Today I have a card to share with you for Paper Rose Studio that I have made card using the new Sketchy Floral Hello stamp set.

This card is simply about the colouring.
I have stamped out the leaf stamped in the set multiple times in a light colour ink,
I used Gina K's amalgam ink in skeleton leaves.
The paper  that I like to use for coloured pencils is Mi-Teintes pastel paper from Canson.

I Have then coloured in the leaves with Prismacolor coloured pencils.
It took awhile to colour them all
 but totally worth it.

The card background is also coloured with pencils in soft blues.

The card is completed by matting it on a black base and using the Hello layered Die and the black and white sentiment paper pack
