lovely Magnolias in watercolour for Paper Rose

Hi I am back again for Paper Rose Studio.

Today I am sharing a set of cards using the Lovely Florals Magnolia stamp set.
I love so many of the beautiful floral stamps that Paper Rose have in the collection and I must say that the Magnolias in this set could possibly be my all time favourite.

I really wanted soft tones for these cards so I stamped and heat embossed white embossing powder onto watercolour paper.

This gave me a raised image to watercolour onto leaving clean white lines instead of the traditional black outline.

I watercolored in the background first using the new Altenew watercolor brush markers from the Spring Garden set.
For the background I used Evening Grey and Moss.

For the flowers I used Warm Sunshine,Autumn Blaze and Rubellite with a little bit of Moss for the stems.

Once I had a good background I started colouring the flowers in layers starting with my yellow, warm sunshine, and then adding layers of darker colours.

The flowers on this card are exactly the same as the one above. I used my MISTI stamp tool. This allowed me to stay a second card the same as the first, I have just turned it around and that gave the card a whole new look.

Once all the the cards had dried I added Black and white splatters using a fan brush, I did mask off the flowers to prevent them getting splattered.

happy Anniversary oddball style.

Hi I have a card for you for Bizzy Becs,

I made this one for my hubby for our wedding anniversary which also happens to be today!

At least I know my Hubby doesn't read my blog! lol

My card Today features 2 of the Stamping Bella Oddball people that I have stamped in Memento
Tuxedo black ink and coloured with Copic Markers

The background is alcohol Inks on Neenah card instead of the glossy alcohol ink card or Yupo.

I used a technique that Kelsey taught us using PVA Glue to create some texture and layering over this the alcohol inks and blending solution.

After colouring the stamped images I have freehand fussy cut them out and layered them onto the base card that I have cut the heart die into.

This layer has been mounted onto the textured Alcohol Ink background with foam tape.

Supplies used:

Hero Arts Infinity Dies: Nesting Hearts
Memento ink pad: Tuxedo black

Thanks for stopping in to have a look there are some wonderful new products added to the store so please pop in for a look.

Until next time

Hi There

I am back today to share with you another set of cards for Paper Rose Studio.
There are so many great new releases in the range to choose from, you can view them here.

Today I have used the Wooly Sorry stamp set as the theme for my cards.
These little sheep are just gorgeous and I have put them in groups by stamping and  masking the
images.
This allows me to overlap them in groups to create some interest.

I have kept the cards really simple and stuck to a grey to black colour theme. The sheep are all coloured in with Copic markers.

For this card I have simply cut out my stamped sheep using a stitched Oval Die. I have layered this onto black card and the Victorian Oval lattice Frame Die.
I have Layered my top panel ,with the sheep on it , on foam tape just to give it some "pop".

For this card I have used the cable knit sweater stencil with a Versamark ink pad and heat embossed with a pastel green embossing powder.

This card is Just coloured in with Comic markers and matted onto black and white card.
I have used the Stitched Rectangles set in the A6 Australian Card size for some detail on my first layer.

Supplies Used:

18324 Wooly Sorry 4 x 4 Stamp set
:18204 Cable Knit Sweater 6 x 6 Stencil
16951 Layered Hello Cutting Die
16576 Stitched Rectangle Die Set
16551 Stitched Ovals Die Set
16578 Stitched Squares Die Set
16826 Victorian Oval Lattice Frame

I really enjoyed creating this set of cards I hope you give this stamp set a go and remember it is a little more work to mask and stamp ( but only a little more ) the results are so worth it!

If you haven't seen all of our fantastic new releases over at Paper Rose you should stop into the store

Until next Time

Paper Rose Gnomies

Hi There

I have a set of cards for you featuring the new Gnomies stamp set from Paper Rose studio.

I think this is such an adorable stamp set and so versatile. You can use these cute little guys for any occasion, I decided to go with a Christmas theme.

I have a new found love for prismacolor pencils on Neenah Desert Storm card and how the bright colours pop on the craft coloured base.

I love how these two came out in blue and Red.

I have added crease lines to their hats to add some texture as the hats are the largest spaces to colour I wanted them to be the main feature.

The little green dude came out really well too and the traditional Christmas red and greens look great together.

Supplies Used:
18372 Gnomies 4 x 6 Stamp Set
17586 Scribble Stars 4 x $ Stamp set
18225 Christmas Sentiments 4 x 6 Stamp set

I really enjoyed colouring in this images and I hope you are inspired to do some pencil colouring as well. It looks like a lot of work but it really doesn't take too long.

Until next time
