Ella's Garden yellow Roses

Hi there

Today I am sharing a set of cards that I have made for Paper Rose Studio.

I used grey tones for my backgrounds using the gorgeous Quatrefoil dies, cutting both layers out of white cardstock but sponging the bottom layer with Weathered Wood Distress Oxide Ink to create a mid-tone to add contrast for the layers.

The Roses and leaves are coloured with Copic Alcohol Markers and I just love yellow roses especially with a grey background.
For added depth to the yellow of the Roses I have under coloured or shadow coloured in golds before adding my three yellows over the top.

In the card above I have heat embossed the sentiment onto a heavy weight vellum.

For added dimension I have Die cut the hello sentiment twice and glued them together or "stacked" them.

For a softer look on this card I have heat embossed the sentiments and the word Beautiful onto vellum and layered this over the two layers of the Quatrefoil dies.

On all cards I have added some little clear crystal drops to look like little water drops.

Whimsy Girl Iris

Hi there,

It's my turn on the blog today for Bizzy Bec's and I have made a card using the Whimsy stamp
Iris.

I have stamped the image onto Illustration card as it is super for coloured pencils.
To colour and blend I have used Prismacolor coloured pencils.

Pencils are softer in appearance than Copic markers, and the result is quite subtle.
When I blend with pencils I still use a light, medium and dark shade of the same colour family to help me blend out colours.
My background, for example is made up of three shades of blue and ends in a white to fade out.

I have used simple colours to frame the card and mounted the second layer ( grey) onto craft foam for added dimension.

Supplies used:

Whimsy Stamps- Iris
Lawn Fawn- Stitched Rectangles
Sue Wilson Mini Expressions- Wishing ( by request)

Don't forget to stop into the store at Bizzy Bec's where you can pre-order these products and so much more at great prices.

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time

Ella's Garden Scribble Roses Mothers Day cards

Hi There
Thanks for  joining me for another set of cards for Paper Rose Studio.

I hope you like this set of cards inspired for Mothers Day and using the gorgeous new Ella's Garden Scribble Roses Die set.

For these cards I used soft feminine colours.

The Roses and leaves are simply cut out like a stained glass window using cream card for the outlines. I have then cut out the flowers in pink and violet and puzzle pieced the flowers back together.

For added dimension I have cut everything out of craft foam that I added stick it sticky sheet to both sides, this allowed me to put everything together very quickly without having to try and glue all the small pieces down with glue.

For a bit of sparkle I have added a few sequins and crystals.

17982 Ella's Garden Mothers Word Die
17976 Mother's Day Quotes 4 x 4 Stamp Set

A Magical Birthday with Unicorn Magic

Hi

Thank you for stopping by today to see my cards for Paper Rose Studio.

Today I thought I would try something a little colourful and I just love the cute Unicorn Magic stamp set from Paper Rose.

I wanted to use rainbow colours so I decided to colour the unicorns mane and tail in rainbow colours using Copic Markers. To create the illusion of white unicorns I have only coloured in the shadows on their bodies using cool grey colours.

These cards are really simple to make and I love how the word magical looks cut out of bright card in mixed colours.

card 1

Card 2. I have sponged my Birthday die cut in yellow copic markers creating an ombre' effect

Squishy Cats Birthday Card

Hi there

Thanks for joining me again for another month's inspiration for Bizzy Bec's monthly challenge

Todays card features the cute Stampingbella Squishy Cats stamp.

This is such a gorgeous stamp and I decided to make my background fun and bright.

I have coloured the cats in Copic markers and fussy cut them out.

The background was made by watercoloring up watercolour paper in rainbow colours and setting it
aside to dry.

I have then cut circles out of the paper using various sizes of a stitched circle die set.

After gluing all the circles onto a piece of plain white card, I have then die cut my base panel using a large stitched rectangle frame die.

The sentiments were cut our of coloured card and glued down onto the background.
The cats were set using foam tape to allow them to pop off the background.

Supplies used:
Stampingbella: Squishy cats stamp
Lawn Fawn : Stitched Rectangles
Lawn Fawn: Stitched Circles
Creative Expressions: Essential Words

I hope you'll join us over at Bizzy Bec's blog for our monthly anything goes challenge and don't forget to have a look at the new listings in-store there are some gorgeous new Stampingbella stamps as well as a few new ranges too!
