Paper Rose Cards featuring the Hummingbird Garden Stamp set

Hi There

For my cards today I have used the Hummingbird Garden hibiscus stamp to make a set of cards.

I love how the flowers turned out and a big shout out to Debra James for the technique and colours used for the flowers and leaves.

I think the soft and feminine colours would make a great mothers day card. I have kept the backgrounds soft and simple as the flowers and leaves are the "stars" they we a lot of work to colour and needed to be the main feature.

The Hibiscus flowers and leaves are coloured with Copic markers and then the extra contras and details are done with Prismacolor pencils.

For this card I have layered the Madison Lace die cut three times and backed it in a soft pink card. The top panel has been embossed with an embossing folder and a stamped sentiment covers the join between the two.

For this card I have added an embossed panel behind the die cut frame and used my go press hot- foil machine to add a clear iridescent foil to add a small amount of sparkle.

The sentiment has been cut out three times and stacked together for extra dimension and mounted on  stitched circle die cuts in varying sizes. Two of the circles are cut out of vellum and one in the soft pink cardstock.

This cards has the sentiment stamped and heat embossed in white directly onto the backing card.
I have then layered the Diamond Vine die cut onto this stamped backing card.

Stampingbella Rosie Smooches Bernie for Bizzy Becs

Hi There

Todays card that I would like to share for Bizzy Bec's is by Stampingbella. I love the Rosie and Bernie series and this one is super cute.

I have coloured in the image with copic markers using Cool greys to colour in the unicorn and leaving a-lot of white space.
For Bernie's mane and tail I have used BV colour to give me some contrast from his body.

The hearts are cut out from a Penny Black die and once cut I left then in place and coloured them in with rainbow coloured copic markers. I then added some glue to the back and stuck them down all at once pressing them onto the background.
Then I pulled off the backing piece leaving only the cut hearts in place, I then coated them with some glossy accents to allow them to pop a bit.

Supplies used:

Penny Black: Hearts Galore Die
Lawn Fawn : Quilted Backdrop
Creative Expressions Lisa Horton : Essential Words

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you find time for crafting too. Don't forget to stop into the store at Bizzy Bec's and have a look at the great  range you can pre-order.

Until next time

paper Rose Doodle flowers

Hi there

Today I would like to share with you a set of cards featuring the fun Doodle Flowers stamp set from Paper Rose.

To create these cards I have stamped all the flowers out onto watercolour paper with Ranger Archival ink and coloured them in with Tombow watercolour pens.

I have then cut out all the flowers using the matching Doodle Flowers die set.

To make the colours in the flowers pop I wanted to create a distressed neutral background for the cards. I have used the credit card technique to get this effect. layers of paint are put down by scraping the colours onto paper using an old plastic credit card so that the layers are nice and thin.

I have then spritzed with water and allowed the to soften the paint and scraped again, this time pulling off some of the colour already put down.

I have then cut out the backgrounds from the painted papers.

Supplies used:
17805 Doodle Flowers 4 x 6 stamp set
17806 Doodle Flowers Die set
17448 Happy Layered
17457 Cheers Layered
17460 Awesome Layered
16874 Happy Birthday Large

Thank you for stopping by to have a look, I hope you find some time to get creative over
the extra holidays this weekend and have a wonderful Easter with family and friends.

Until Next time

Cards featuring the Paper Rose leafy Circle die

Hi There

I would like to share with you a set of cards featuring the Paper Rose Leafy Circle die

To create the depth and shadow box effect I have used two layers of circles and
double mounted them with craft foam in-between.

All three cards have an alcohol ink background on Yupo Paper.  have selected a complimentary colour of plain yardstick for the second layer of the shadow box. I used a circle die smaller than the Leafy Circle die so only a thin edge shows around the opening.

The Sentiment and letters here are sponged using Distress Oxides and the Birthday has been covered in gold leafing flakes.

For my third card I decided to make a shaker card by adding a layer of clear acetate to the first layer underneath the Leafy Circle Die.

I added sequins and stars to the shaker card in a few metallic colours.

Supplies used:

17922 Leafy Circle Die
16348 Stitched Circle Die Stack
17946 Jumbo Lowercase Alphabet
17304 Hello 4 x 6 Stamp Set
16951 Layered Hello Die set
16898 Thinking of you Sentiment stamp

Thank you for stopping by to have a look.
I hope these cards inspire you to try some of these techniques, or even create some of your own ideas with this gorgeous die.

Until next time

Stampingbella Garden Girl Marigold

Hi There

Thanks for stopping by again

Todays card is For Bizzy Becs and is another gorgeous stamp from Stampingbella's Tiny Townie series.

Marigold is so cute and to do her Justice I had to stick with the oranges for her petals.

I have stamped the image in Memento ink in black and coloured in with Copic Markers.

The background colours are Distress oxides sponged onto Neenah cardstock.
I have layered over the top the floral Trellis die that I have coloured in the flower shapes with Copic Markers

To allow my sentiment to pop I have also layered velum underneath the stamped and partially cut out flower girl.

the die cut sentiment has been sponged using Distress oxides inks in Victorian Velvet and Spiced Marmalade.

There are a lot of layers to the shading ( shown in the detail photo below) of the petals in her dress. Including a first layer of a violet in copic colour BV23, and then coloured over that with YR18, YR16 and YR15.

I hope you like this card and please stop into Bizzy Becs' Online store where you can pre order
these Products and so much more.
