christmas was a whirlwind

Hi
So in a whirlwind of activity Christmas has been and gone! That went so fast.
I hope you had an amazing time with your friends and families.

Today I would love to share with you one of my Christmas cards.

I have made a few versions of this to give to family and friends so I have kept
the card relatively simple as the topic colouring was time consuming.

Don't forget to stop in at Bizzy Becs as you still have a couple of days to join our anything goes challenge.

getting ready for christmas

Hi There

So Christmas is nearly here and I thought for this months Design Team inspiration I would
share a Christmas card.

I have used my Favourite, copics to colour the Wild Rose Studio Robins on a branch stamp.

After colouring I have die cut the image and layered it on a second larger stitched oval
die cut in metallic gold.

The Poinsettia's are a Memory box Die and I have cut them out in both metallic gold and red.

A few little white flowers and you're done.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you go have a look in Bizzy Becs online store
for some great goodies.

Don't forget you will need to pre-order

Take Care

still drawing

Hi There
I hope you're all enjoying the cooler weather while it lasts as Summer will officially be here
on Thursday!

I find it hard to believe that it is  almost December.

I have been drawing quite a lot and am trying out some new journals as well. if you know me already you will already get that I'm totally crazy  about art supplies and that I  collect them too! I love to try out new things when it comes to my journals and art.

Over the last few months I have been doing Jane Davenport's workshop Vitamin sea, and loving it!
Its been a watercolour dream.

these pages are from Jane's class and I found it a real challenge working on so many faces on a two page spread but I love how these girls turned out.

I started the drawings in a permanent ink pen, yes the epic pen! I then added layers of watercolour paints and some coloured pencil details.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look.

sooooo I've been busy

I really can't believe that we are well into the "end of the year" and the Christmas decorations are out.
November is all but over now

before we know it we will be rushing into getting ready for the holiday season.

I've been drawing like mad and messing around with watercolour so I thought I would share this with you for something a bit different.

These Drawings are from my Jane Davenport Vitamin Sea online class.

This is my cover image

I have used mainly watercolours and I love the Schmincke ones, but I have been using some of the golden Qor Watercolours too as they have some super "bright" colours.

Thanks for Dropping by to have a look. Drop in again and I will share with you  more pages of the journal.

butterfly wishes

Hi There!

Thanks for popping in to have a look at my latest card.

This is a really simple one. I think you will agree it is really effective though.
A big thank you goes to Debra James for showing us this spotlight technique in  our fortnightly class.

I have coloured the background in a warm grey Copic marker and then mopped it back with a course weave fabric and rubbing alcohol.
Once this is done I have then cut circles in the card cutting into the image.

This pieces of are then feature coloured also with Copic Markers. when mounting up the layers of the card you simply replace the now coloured circles back into position.

supplies used:
butterfly stamp: indigo Blu Big butterfly
Dies: Lawn Fawn large stitched circles
MFT blueprints 21( ask Bec for an extra special order) for the base card with pierced edges.
poppy stamps Vintage Happy Birthday

Don't forget to drop in to Bizzy Becs to get these wonderful supplies and much more. please
remember that you will need to pre-order these supplies.

see you next time
