Mixed Media Tags

Hello

Well January has certainly blitzed by!

I am here to share my first project for February for The Dusty Attic.

I have made a set of three mixed media tags using the larger tags from the Tag Medley
Chipboard set.
To start with I have covered the chippy tags in scrapbooking paper as my base and then I added chippy shapes and crackle paste for extra texture.

Once dry and crackled I have added dye ink and mica sprays to unify the colour palette
And add colour to bring out the textures.

I have painted some chippy leaves and added these to my tag bases
and then I have then  fussy cut leaves and flowers
along with a few laser cut out butterflies from 49 & Market,
to complete my tags I have added some ink spots in white and black.

Mixed Media Textured Tulips Card

hi There

Today I am sharing a card for Paper Rose Studio that is on a painted mixed media

background.

To create this card I have embossed a craft coloured base card with the gorgeous

Tulips 3D embossing folder from Paper Rose Studio.

Once embossed I have used a variety of acrylic paints applied with dry brush to

create a vintage looking background. I have also added some Distress Ink spray to help add

depth and texture to the embossing.

My die cut flowers have been shaped and heat embossed with Distress Glaze embossing powder,
I have then added inks and distress crayons to age and distress them.

I have also added 3D Liquid Pearl drops to the flower centres.
The Die cut frame and sentiment are also heat embossed with embossing powder.

I love all these soft vintage colours together and the addition of flowers and leaves have really
given the tulip background some wow factor.

Supplies used:

20967 Filigree Rectangle Die set
21090 Sophie Flower Metal Die
