Blooming Flowers Stained glass window cards

Hi there,

Today I'm sharing a set of cards for Paper Rose Studio.

These cards are made by stacking die-cuts together and filling the spaces created with Dimensional Magic or Glossy Accents to create a stained glass window effect.

To make it easier to stick down several layers of the die cuts I have used a double sided adhesive sheet on my card before running it through my big shot. Just keep running it through several times until everything cuts out.

After attaching the first die cut layer to the base card, i coloured all my flowers in with Comic Markers. Then attach another three or four more layers. you will need to burnish or press down each layer to make sure they are really well stuck together. Now fill all the spaces created with Glossy Accents and allow to dry flat overnight.

Before attaching the last layer of the die, heat emboss silver (or any colour) embossing powder to create a lead like effect.

Hi Again.

Todays cards are for Paper Rose featuring the sweet Bird Day stamp set.

the three card feature different backgrounds including watercolored circles and embossed textured backgrounds.

The Birds are all coloured with Copic markers and are the star of the cards.

watercolored Die cut circle layered on-top.

sparkle Birthday card

Hi There,

Today for Bizzy Becs I have used one of the New Jane Davenport Spellbinders Dies to
create a Birthday card.

The original idea for this card came from Jennifer Maguire's YouTube channel. She made a serious of beautiful cards using this Faux Stained Glass technique.

I have watercolored a few shades of blue onto Ranger watercolour paper and left it to dry
naturally.

To achieve depth and to give me a place to add the Glossy accents I have cut out and layered together
five layers of the Spellbinders feather die.

When sticking the layers of die cuts together glue the first layer onto the stamped and heat embossed  card base. you can see all the layers in the picture above

Add each additional layer onto the previous layer but save the last one for after filling with glossy accents. This way if you spill over the edges or aren't too neat applying the glossy accents to some of the smaller areas you still have one remaining layer to tidy things up.

For extra Dimension and sparkle I have added some white paint pen dots and glued on some pearls and crystals.

I hope you like this card, it was a bit of work but really fun to make.

Don't forget to have a look at the Store where there are some great new listings to pre-order. Also there is 25% off storewide so great savings too!
I hope this inspires you to join us for our monthly anything goes challenge.

Supplies Used:

Jane Davenport Spellbinders: Fair Feathers Die
Penny Black: Sprinkles and Smiles Sentiment stamp

Until next time.

Peonies for Paper Rose

Hello again,

Well I think life has very quickly turned back to normal. I feel that it was only such a short time ago that we were planing for Christmas!

Today for Paper Rose I would like to share a series of cards using the gorgeous Peonies Stamp Set. For fun lets use some Christmas colours!

All the flowers have been coloured in with Copic markers.

All three cards are simple layering of the backgrounds and coloured flowers.
There is a matching die to go with the Peonies stamp set but in this case I didn't want the white outline so instead I have fussy cut all the flowers out.
To blend them into the card I have drawn around them with a black sharpie to get rid of the cut edge look.

The background die cut layers for this card, and the Happy Birthday sentiment, have been foiled using my GoPress hotfoil machine.

This Card uses the following:
17148 Peonie 4 x 6" stamp set
16969 Quatrefoil Layer 1 Die
16972 Quatrefoil Layer 2 Die
17448 Happy Layered Die
17358 Birthday Layered Die

For this card I have cut out 2 layers of the Stitched Oval stacking Die to add dimension.
The Hello Friend sentiment is stamped in VersaMark and embossed with black embossing powder.

This Card uses the following:
17148 Peonie 4 x 6" stamp set
16969 Quatrefoil Layer 1 Die
16972 Quatrefoil Layer 2
16551 Stitched Ovals
16416 Hello Friend Sentiment stamp

For This card I have kept all the layers clean by just layering white on white. The only coloured features are the flowers.

This Card uses the following:
17148 Peonie 4 x 6" stamp set
17247 Vine Background Die
17646 Congratulations Layered Die

Thankyou for stopping by to have a look. I hope you like these card ideas and give them a try.

Until next time

a new adventure with Paper Rose

Hi there

I am so excited to be sharing my first post for Paper Rose

Todays card is using their cute Laughing Animals stamp set # 17592. I love this sweet stamp set and there is also a matching die so you don't have to fussy cut #17593!

I have coloured all of the stamped images using Copic markers but used them in different ways to give a few different looks.

Here the scalloped circle frame #16742 after cutting has bee hot foiled using my GoPress foiler.
I have also foiled the Happy Birthday Sentiment #16874

Here I used the Hello Layered die set #16951 for my sentiment I have cut it out 4 times and layered them all together for extra dimension. The background is created by sponging distress oxides over a stencil.
I have used the Lovely Day Sentiment stamp as  well and die cut it out using one of the banner Dies from the Banner 2 set # 17583.

For the final card I have coloured in the background with Copic markers as well as the stamped image. I have die cut the Grass Edge die # 17571and stamped it with the Happy Birthday Sentiment stamp #16428.

The stamped quote that comes in The Laughing Animals stamp set # 17592 is stamped on one of the Cloud Border dies #16817.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look.

until next time
