Paper Rose Studio and WOW! embossing powder blog hop

Hello and welcome to the WOW! Embossing Powder New Release giveaway Hop!

Thank you Karen Reátegui for sending everyone my way!

For those of you that don't know me I am on Paper Rose Studio's design team and

I am so excited to be asked to take part in this blog hop to show case to you the new release collection from WOW.

I appreciate that you chose to stop by!

Here is my project that I created using WOW! embossing powders and Paper Rose Studio Dies.

I have die cut Paper Roses' Daisies Die out of white card and pieced back into the outline all the petals. Once in place I have heat embossed the inside pieces with WOW embossing powders in 'Love Is The Drug' and 'Rose Glintz'.

The easiest way to do this is to use an embossing pen to colour in each petal an then sprinkle the powders on starting with Rose Glintz at the centre of the flower and then Love Is The Drug around the outer edges.
I have then heated the powders. To get the depth I needed as well as to create a smooth finish I have repeated this process again.

Once embossed I have then die cut another layer of the Daisies die and glued that on top to tidy up any overlap and add extra depth.

I have then done this process again for all three flowers.

The Hello Gorgeous fine script sentiment has also been die cut out of white card and heat embossed with
'Angel Eyes' embossing powder.

I have cut out my background using the Diagonal Stripe die in white and I have coloured the
cut out pieces with copic markers in shades of turquoise in tones from light to dark.

Rose Glintz
Love Is The Drug
Angel Eyes

  2. Lovely card! What a great idea to use an embossing pen (I hope mine hasn't dried out) and then emboss with powders. The daisy dies are so pretty and it would be a lot more work to inlay the petals to add dimension.
