Zen Blooms in pink tones

Hello There,

Can you believe that we are now into July and halfway through the year.

It's my turn to share another project and I have used the new Zen Blooms

slimline die from Paper Rose Studio  to create these cards.

I love that with one die cut out you can create two different cards.

To create these cards I have cut out a piece of cardstock the size of my card base.
I have then used four pink coloured inks to create a blended background from light to dark.
I used a blending brush to apply the colour to my base card as it helps to create a smooth blend without lines. It does take some time to get the colour down but totally worth the effort.

Once I was totally happy with the blend I taped my die down on my base and ran it through
my Bigshot, removing it really carefully so all the cut pieces stay in place.
I then used a piece of Press n Seal to hold it all together.

Have a look at you tube as there are many videos that show you some great techniques
using Press n Seal with die cuts.

This card uses the die cut piece layered onto a white background. I love how gorgeous
the flowers look going from dark to light.

This card is the background left behind. I have cut out the flowers in white as well.
This creates a frame that all the blended cut outs have been pieced back into place.
This is where the Press N Seal helps to keep them in position allowing easy positioning.

Hello There

I have another project to share with you.

Today my card uses the lovely Ella's Garden Rose Bouquet stamp set

from Paper Rose Studio.

This card is quite simple but the bright colours of the roses
really pop on the white background.

I have simply stamped out my flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black in on white blending card.

I simply repeat stamped the floral spray on the top right edge of my card, turning the card around I have then stamped the top right corner once again, this becomes the bottom left corner of my card.

For the opposite sides I have randomly stamped small sections of the

stamp to fill in the corners.

I have then coloured with Copic Markers and added my Die cut

word and sentiment.

Mixed Media Textured Tulips Card

hi There

Today I am sharing a card for Paper Rose Studio that is on a painted mixed media

background.

To create this card I have embossed a craft coloured base card with the gorgeous

Tulips 3D embossing folder from Paper Rose Studio.

Once embossed I have used a variety of acrylic paints applied with dry brush to

create a vintage looking background. I have also added some Distress Ink spray to help add

depth and texture to the embossing.

My die cut flowers have been shaped and heat embossed with Distress Glaze embossing powder,
I have then added inks and distress crayons to age and distress them.

I have also added 3D Liquid Pearl drops to the flower centres.
The Die cut frame and sentiment are also heat embossed with embossing powder.

I love all these soft vintage colours together and the addition of flowers and leaves have really
given the tulip background some wow factor.

Supplies used:

20375 Tulips 3D embossing Folder

21090 Sophie Flower Metal Die
21102 Little Foliage 2 die set

Slimline Card With Cherry Blossoms For Mothers Day

Hello

It's been awhile since I have posted any projects.

I hope you have been getting in some crafty time especially if you

have experienced any lockdowns.

Today I am sharing a project for Paper Rose Studio featuring the gorgeous new Cherry Blossom Branch Die.

I made this card for my Mum for Mother's Day, she has been in  hospital for a the last six weeks and
I wanted to make a card that was pretty so she can display it on her bedside table.

I have used a soft pastel blue card for my base layering it up with the
slimline Hexie die cut out in white card

I have also cut out the Cherry Blossoms branch and flowers in white card and coloured them with watercolour brush pens.
By colouring with watercolour pens I was able to mottle and shade up all the
blossom petals with varying shades of pinks as well as adding dark and light tones.

My die cut word is from the Ella's garden series and I have cut and stacked the word
" Mother's" three times I have also then watercolored the letters
and added a sparkle pen to add some shimmer.

I have then added sentiments from the Black and White Sentiment sheets, I have

also added some sparkle to the flower centres with some stickles in diamond.

Supplies used:
